Beth Lee is a special education teacher at Arkansas Connections Academy (ARCA). Ms. Lee started teaching in 2008 and started at ARCA in 2018. She has a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from Arkansas Tech University and a master’s degree in elementary special education from Arkansas State University. Her story is below:
“Teaching is the only thing I have ever wanted to do. I had some amazing influences when I was student, and I strive to be half the teacher those people were. Teaching at an online school gives me a better opportunity to really get to know my students as individual people and build those relationships.
The school community is so special because everyone really cares about each other, about students, and about families. We all have a common goal: to see all our students succeed. If there were one thing I would tell prospective parents as they are making the decision to enroll at ARCA, it is that this is an experience that will prepare their children for success. We have a great staff ready to grow with our students.”
Ms. Lee spends most of her free time with her three kids. They love sports and the outdoors. Two of her children play golf, basketball, and softball, so her family is always in the gym or on the ball field. During their free time, they enjoy visiting lakes and rivers or going mountain climbing.
Connections Academy provides a rigorous curriculum with teachers who truly care about students.
