Enrollment for the 2016–17 School Year

  • The Wisconsin Department of Public Education's open enrollment period is now closed for the 2016–17 school year.
  • If you reside in the Appleton Area School District (AASD), you may enroll in WCA at other times during the year. Contact the school’s administrator at 920-993-7076 for information about enrolling as an AASD resident.




Important Dates

  • June 10, 2016: Nonresident school districts must mail notices of approval or denial. If the application is approved, the school district must notify the parents of the specific school or program to which the student is assigned. If the application is denied, parents have 30 days to file an appeal.
  • June 17, 2016: Resident school districts must notify applicants if the application is denied. If the application is denied, parents have 30 days to file an appeal.
  • June 24, 2016: Parents of accepted applicants must notify the nonresident district if the student will attend the nonresident district in the 2016–17 school year. If the parent fails to make this notification, the nonresident district may refuse to allow the student to attend the district. Parents must submit applications online or directly to the nonresident school district.

For prospective 12th grade enrollees, the following are graduation requirements based on our accreditation.

  • A student must be enrolled during the semester immediately prior to graduation, and not be full-time enrolled in any other school.
  • Earn a minimum of 5 credits (or 10 courses) required for graduation, with at least 1.5 of these credits (or 3 courses) earned in the semester immediately prior to graduation.
