Enrolling for the 2010–11 School Year
Each year the state of Wisconsin holds an open enrollment period when parents who do not reside in the Appleton Area School District must apply for their children to have the option to attend a virtual charter school like Wisconsin Connections Academy. Open enrollment for the 2010–11 school year is now closed.
WCA Enrollment Process
To be eligible for the 2010–11 school year, you must have completed the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction application between February 1, 20010 and February 19, 2010. If you completed the application, the next steps are:
- Step 1: In mid-April, 2010 you will be notified of your acceptance status to the Appleton Area School District (AASD), which operates the WCA program.
- Step 2: In mid-May, 2010 you will be notified of your acceptance status to WCA.
- Step 3: By June 11, 2010 you must notify WCA of your intent to enroll.
- Step 4: Before the start of school in September 2010 you must complete WCA’s enrollment process.
If you reside in the Appleton Area School District (AASD), you are not required to apply for open enrollment and may enroll in WCA at other times during the year. Contact the school’s administrator at 920-993-7076 for information about enrolling as an AASD resident.
