Student Satisfaction

Nearly 94% of our parents say their children are satisfied with our program and are pleased with their child’s academic growth.

Not only am I seeing a difference in our children, but our friends, relatives and acquaintances are noting the differences. Both our children are enrolled in our first year. They have developed a much broader vocabulary, more confidence, they are keeping their grades up for the first time and we have a great time together while they are learning.

Teachers Provide a High Level of Support

Nearly 96% of our parents praised the helpfulness of their child’s teacher. Our parents appreciate the dedication and professionalism of our teaching staff and report a high level of satisfaction with their work.

Miss Franz makes the math lessons so interesting that it is easy to understand. Also, in that class, no one else knows if you made a mistake.  During the literature LiveLesson® session, Miss Molly takes the readings to a new level and lets the kids feel confident in answering questions out loud. She has a way of building the kids’ confidence even when they feel unsure of themselves. Because of the positive feedback she gives them, they want to participate and discuss more. This really makes a difference in the overall scheme of things.

They’ve gone out of their way to help kids beyond the classroom; helping with science fair projects for example they’ve done a lot to help kids learn more than just what’s in the book. They respond to us right away.

The Curriculum is High Quality

Over 93% of our parents agree that our curriculum is high quality. OCA strives to bring together the best educational resources in order to create challenging and inspiring lessons for students.

I have always found OCA has the emphasis on mastery of skills, not busy work. You can tailor the lessons to suit your child’s learning style and individual skill set. You are able to enter custom lessons when you do learning activities on your own, which is so nice. I love to do extras, such as field trips, plays, hiking, cooking projects, etc.

Our kids are college prep and take a lot of AP classes. It’s been great because they’ve been able to learn at the level they’re at.  It matches what they want to accomplish. I didn’t get that kind of challenge at public school. I’m glad my kids are better prepared to go to college than I was.

Technology Enhances the Learning Experience

Nearly 91% of OCA families agreed that our technology tools helped to improve their children’s learning experiences. Many parents appreciated our proprietary Learning Management System for helping to keep them organized with grade tracking, scheduling, and communication.

When using the teaching tutorials, my children can pause or rewind without it interfering with other students. The students are truly able to work at their own pace. The LiveLessons sessions are also recorded so you can go back on the link and refresh your memory or get something you didn’t get during the LiveLesson session; This helps them to better understand the subject matter and build a stronger foundation
