FLVSCA households will generally need to provide their own computer, printer, and Internet service. Please check to be sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements.

Hardship exceptions for students in some districts

If your student is enrolled through a school district, you may be eligible to apply for a technology hardship. In order to receive a hardship, you will generally need to be registered with your resident district as qualifying for free and reduced lunch and complete their hardship application process. Your school district (not FLVSCA) will make the final hardship determination.

If approved, hardship families may receive any of the following:

  • One desktop computer and monitor per household: View a description of our standard desktop systems.
  • One color printer per household: The HP Color Deskjet printer comes with one ink cartridge, provided the first year of enrollment.
  • Subsidy for Internet service: Each household receives $29.95 paid three times a year during the first week of December, the first week of March, and the first week of June.

We also offer comprehensive technical support for the systems we provide and complete information on proper usage of hardware and software.
