“I knew I wanted to become a teacher when I was in first grade. My teacher was a huge inspiration to me and helped me realize from a young age that teaching was my passion. When I began my career, I taught first and fifth grade in New York for six years. Then, I relocated to South Carolina, where I was a reading teacher for the Charleston County School District.
To parents who are considering online schooling, I would say: everyone at our school is so helpful, and we are here to help your child be successful! I know coming to SCCA was the best decision I have ever made, and I know you will feel the same. I love SCCA because it gives families options in their education and offers them flexibility. I love talking to the families on the phone and also meeting them face-to-face at our school events! We have so much data that we can use to help our students be successful.”
Aside from teaching students at SCCA, Ms. Zengerle teaches spinning and body pump at a local gym. She also loves visiting the beach and being outside.
