This is just a quick glimpse into Maddie’s day. Some days she has more independent time, while others she has more LiveLesson sessions. Though her goal is to complete six hours of learning a day, it’s sometimes more or less, depending on her other obligations. When it comes to her online learning, Maddie is happy and grateful for the flexibility her schedule offers her so that she can dedicate time to extracurriculars, tutoring, and her music.

A Compassionate Learner
Maddie’s two main passions in life are music and helping people. With her family being a foster care family, Maddie was looking for a flexible schedule that would allow her help provide care for infants in the household, volunteer tutor in local school programs, and of course, focus on her music.
The Right Connection
When her older sister had a successful and meaningful experience at Connections Academy, the choice was easy. Maddie was able to spend time volunteering and working on music while taking courses that were preparing her for her future career. Her bond with her teachers is what she appreciates most about Connections Academy, so much so that it helped propel her toward her future career path.

Maddie plans to attend the University of Northwestern in St. Paul pursuing her passions with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Music.
