“Education runs through my veins! My grandfather was a teacher and principal, and my grandmother was a substitute teacher in his schools. I knew from a young age that I wanted to be a teacher. Now, many years later, my favorite place to be is on the phone with students helping them achieve their goals. One of my favorite days of the school year is graduation day, where I get to watch the accumulation of students’ hard work and efforts come to fruition as they walk across the stage.

“I love being a part of the Willamette Connections Academy family because we care about making sure we guide all of our students with compassion to help them build their future stories of growth, service, and exploration.

“This is my ninth year in virtual education. My favorite part of being a virtual educator is the meaningful connections that I get to make not only with my students but also with their families. I love getting to know my students and their families!

“When I’m not teaching, my family and I love to camp and explore. We are lifelong learners, and we can often be found checking out our wilderness guides to identify the many creatures and plant life we encounter on our adventures.”
