I began teaching in 1999 and only took a short break when my kids were born. I joined Connections Academy in 2020 after discovering that I loved teaching online during the pandemic. I am the most proud of my Masters in Mathematics from Texas A&M University which allows me to offer free college math credits to our students. 

My favorite part of teaching online is that I can tailor each class specifically for my students. Each student gets their own experience in the course. Whether it is extending their learning to broader topics or meeting with a student several times each week to help them achieve their goals, I love being able to help our students. I am able to meet my students where they are at in their mathematics and help them see their potential.

I love to do Desmos Activities in our LiveLessons because playing with graphs is fun for me. It also allows students to see right away what their math is doing. This has a tremendous impact on their learning.
