Rebecca James is the manager of special education services at Oklahoma Connections Academy. She began her teaching career in 1995. At Oklahoma Connections Academy, Mrs. James enjoys having daily opportunities to interact one-on-one with students and families. She shares more below:

Why I Became an Educator

I wanted to help struggling students. I originally thought I would teach for couple of years and then complete my counseling degree, but I realized that teaching allowed me daily opportunities to make a difference in the lives of my students!

My Interests

I am married to Mr. James, a Middle School Social Studies teacher with Oklahoma Connections Academy. We have two children, and I enjoy spending time watching them play soccer and tennis. We also have three dogs and a cat. I love to read, listen to worship music, and travel. I love seeing any new place; in Oklahoma, the US, or another country. I have traveled to many states, Asia, Africa, Europe and most recently Costa Rica.
