The Online School Experience at Minnesota Connections Academy

Minnesota Connections Academy does a good job of teaching students to be self-advocating, independent learners. To foster student engagement, students attend LiveLesson® sessions, and I tie in as many social aspects as possible. Students get to have sharing time; we play games; and we even have a star of the week.

I enjoy teaching at Minnesota Connections Academy because of the relationships I get to build. Not only do I get to know the student but I also get to know their family. Instead of meeting the families twice a year at conferences, I speak to the student and their Learning Coach in mini conferences every other week. If you want to be more involved in your child’s education, this is a great place to be!

The Benefits of K‒12 Online Learning

I get a lot more one-on-one time with students. After teaching for six years in brick-and-mortar classrooms, I’m able to put my attention on each individual student.
