Secondary Teacher

Natasha Zotov is a middle school math teacher at TEC Connections Academy Commonwealth Virtual School (TECCA). She holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Foreign Languages and a master’s degree in education with a concentration in applied methods of research and statistics from Harvard University Graduate School of Education. Ms. Zotov shares her story below.

"I have always loved teaching. I started when I graduated from college in 1991. I took a twelve year break after graduate school to work in educational research, but I went back to teaching because I couldn’t stay away.

I love teaching at TECCA because I believe in the future of virtual education. I also truly enjoy working with the wonderful staff because they support and care about each other. Learning online is beneficial for students who need flexibility. Students can work anywhere and anytime as long as they have access to the Internet. Online learning is also transparent. The academic progress can be viewed 24/7. Students and parents always know what assignments have been completed and what needs to be done.

I love teaching at TECCA because I believe in the future of virtual education.
