Addyson Bentley
Elementary School
Addyson Bentley is an elementary school student at TEC Connections Academy Commonwealth Virtual School (TECCA). Her passion is gymnastics, and since enrolling, she’s been able to focus on her training schedule while also keeping up with schoolwork. Below, Addyson shares what she loves about attending school online:
"The reason I was interested in Connections Academy was because I am interested in becoming a full-time gymnast, and this gave me the flexibility to do both gymnastics and school. Being able to have the time to complete my work when it is convenient for my gymnastics schedule really works for me.
My favorite subject is science because it has a lot of hands-on activities, and I feel as though I learn best that way. Connections Academy is different from my old school because I get more help when I struggle in my work. I have two amazing teachers, Mrs. Aucoin and Ms. Moore. They are both super supportive and extremely positive and whenever I need them, they are available. I can WebMail my teachers whenever I need help or am stuck on something.

Since I’m a full-time gymnast, I spend most of my time in the gym training. I have a classroom set up in the gym so I can do my LiveLesson® sessions and daily assignments. Outside of school, I love to keep active with my friends. We ride bikes, jump on my trampoline, and play outside. To stay in touch with some of my friends, we usually text or call each other."
