Why I Became a Teacher

I became a teacher because I have a passion for helping students grow. It’s amazing to watch a new learner blossom into an independent, life-long learner. That is what I hope to instill in my students, a love for learning new things, and the confidence to expand their minds. The way students interact with the world is always changing. As an educator, I am constantly looking for the best ways to reach out to students, change up my teaching methods, and inspire students to imagine, create, and learn new things.

The Benefits of K-12 Online Learning

Teachers get to work closely with families and students. Learning has always begun at home and parents are the first teachers. Online, I get to work with families to support their students. Also, I help students learn new things by adjusting the curriculum to meet their individual needs. Finally, I work with a very collaborative group of educators. We communicate with each other quickly to get questions answered or grow new ideas that will benefit the school experience for our students.

As an educator, I am constantly looking for the best ways to reach out to students, change up my teaching methods, and inspire students to imagine, create, and learn new things.

My Interests

My family loves the KC Chiefs. We enjoy going to watch the games, follow the players, and spending time together. We live on a small hobby farm and have fun taking care of the cattle and pigs.
