Why He Became a Teacher

The Online School Experience at Iowa Connections Academy
“My favorite field trip was when I took my band to the national Independence Day parade in Washington, DC. They represented the state of North Carolina,” reports Mr. Cook. His favorite classroom activity is “talking Star Trek and Star Wars with [my students]. I get to see their personalities come out.”
Message for Families Interested in Online School
If there’s one thing Mr. Cook would tell parents thinking of enrolling a child in this school, it’s this: “Try it. Let your child take control of their learning.”
An education at this school teaches [students] to engage, problem solve, and communicate in the work world.
