Some of Ms. Derby’s Insights on Education

“As principal, my unwavering commitment is to serve and support every student and family within our cherished community. The challenges we overcome and the victories we achieve are the building blocks of our shared story.

“I am a student-first leader with a big heart for all humans. I am proud to work for an organization that meets every student where they are and provides an individualized learning experience. As a former teacher and counselor, I strive to meet the academic, social, emotional, and behavior needs of our students, caretakers, and staff.”

I use my lenses as a former teacher and counselor to help develop an educational system that closes learning gaps and promotes student success.
