High School Student
Joshua is a senior at Indiana Connections Academy, having attended the school for the last five years. After being homeschooled, Joshua and his family wanted a structured learning environment that would still allow for their flexible schedule, and that's when they found Indiana Connections Academy. The Online High School Experience
Last year, Joshua joined the National Honor Society and realized he enjoyed interacting with his peers. Later that year, Joshua and his girlfriend were inspired to start Pixels and Paragraphs, a photography and writing club. "We got nearly 50 members to sign up that year, which was great! We formed a nice community of writers and photographers, all reading and regarding each other’s work and commenting on it," said Joshua. "This year, we got over 150 members to sign up, three times our previous amount!" Upon graduation, Joshua hopes to pass down Pixels and Paragraphs to another pair of students excited to run the club.

Advice for Online Students
When asked about the best piece of advice he would give to an incoming Indiana Connections Academy student, Joshua says, "Make sure to manage your time wisely and not get behind. Though the flexibility Indiana Connections Academy provides is wonderful, it can be easy to fall into a seemingly never-ending chasm of work. Also, I would tell other students to get involved – to get to know other students, especially. Many of my best experiences at Indiana Connections Academy are due to my connections with other students."
