Ryan Todoroff

High School English Teacher

Ryan Todoroff is a high school English teacher at California Connections Academy. He began his teaching career in 1999 and has been with our school since 2008. Mr. Todoroff holds a master’s degree in teaching as well as a single subject credential in English language arts, which he earned from Wheaton College. Read Mr. Todoroff’s story below.

“The English classroom was always my favorite place to be as a student. I became a teacher to share the enjoyment of learning with others. At Connections Academy, I enjoy working with other professionals who believe that all students can learn at high levels of achievement. I love that the program can be personalized for the students, and that they can benefit in so many different ways from the independent-learning experience. I can help students work at their own pace until they’ve mastered the content, which can be difficult for individual learners in a typically crowded high school classroom. We have the flexibility to provide students with more time and resources if they need it, or we can offer advanced opportunities if they desire more challenge. I would tell the parent of a high school student that our curriculum is rigorous; our expectations for student achievement are high; and we’re proud of those high standards. Parents should be ready to work collaboratively with the teachers and their student to help him or her master challenging academic material.”

"I love that the program can be personalized for the students and that they can benefit in so many different ways from the independent-learning experience."
