Field Trips of Our California Virtual Schools

Bringing Lessons and Friendships to Life

California Connections Academy virtual schools offer field trips throughout the year that are both educational and fun. Whether they are watching the stars at the Downing Planetarium at California State University, Fresno, exploring butterfly gardens in Sonoma County, viewing robots at the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, or studying art at the Getty Museum in Los Angeles, students and families enjoy a rich, hands-on learning experience.

Teachers arrange trips to venues such as museums, historic sites, botanical gardens, and state parks. There are even non-school-related outings like picnics, bowling parties, and more!

Virtual school field trips are excellent opportunities to meet other parents, students, and teachers face-to-face, but they also provide an opportunity to round out the virtual school experience in real-world ways. Through field trips, students learn life lessons that build upon their course lessons while also making meaningful connections with their peers.

Exploring College and Beyond

California Connections Academy offers field trips to colleges and universities, college fairs, and even businesses for virtual middle and high school students so they may explore and prepare for the future. The optional Career Club allows students to learn about potential careers and explore fields that interest them, while the College Planning Club guides high school students through the college preparation and admissions process.
