School Administrator Leslie Dombek

Meet Leslie Dombek

School Site Administrator

Leslie Dombek, who serves as the North Bay school site administrator and as a California high school assistant principal, has been part of the Connections Academy team for over a decade. She began her teaching career at Connections Academy in Southern California in 2005 as an elementary school master teacher and has held several leadership roles within the school.

Mrs. Dombek explains why she loves teaching at Connections Academy: "I began my career as a teacher and enjoy serving as North Bay school site administrator because I love learning and I want to share that love of learning with our students. I want to help them get excited about learning new things and teach them that with a solid educational background they can do anything they put their minds to. There is nothing better to me than when a student understands a new concept, achieves one of his or her goals, or puts his or her best effort into a project. That is the best!"

She says, "I served as a homeroom teacher for kindergarten through fifth grade, and have taught the PACE (Program for All Children to Excel) math program for grades 3–5. The flexibility of our innovative program allows our teachers to work with each of our students at their own pace to ensure that they are understanding the content and are ready to move on to the next step. I also love the family collaboration that Connections Academy provides to ensure that my students are being successful at all levels.”
