Graduate

Ria is a graduate of Arizona Connections Academy. As a highly gifted student who advanced to twelfth grade at 11 years old, Ria greatly benefited from Arizona Connections Academy’s challenging gifted courses. Learn more about her story below.

Ria’s mom, Sunitha, says, “Arizona Connections Academy met Ria’s tremendous growth potential, and it also satisfied her intellectual quest. She enjoyed the challenging and accelerated curriculum offered by Arizona Connections Academy. Ria’s favorite subjects at Arizona Connections Academy were math, social studies, and science. She absorbs mathematical ideas at an enormous pace and was an expert in complex arithmetic at age six. The one-on-one attention from me as her Learning Coach allowed her to immerse herself in a subject and grasp as many details as possible. Arizona Connections Academy also enabled Ria to experience the pure joy of learning at her own pace with unlimited potential for growth. Her teacher, Ms. Noto, collaborated with me to create an academic plan that would enrich Ria’s knowledge and set a strong foundation for her future. The Arizona Connections Academy staff including the principal, vice principal, and support staff, helped us to build Ria’s future. We are truly blessed to have been a part of Connections Academy!

Ria says, “I loved Arizona Connections Academy because it helped me to learn at my own pace and get answers to my millions of questions, all in a day, by exploring many resources. I loved every school day; each one was filled with a combination of exciting activities. My teacher, Mrs. Noto, would call and discusses various interesting topics from my courses. If I was confused with a certain topic, she explained it to me and offered tips to help me learn it from different perspectives. I also loved all of my field trips.”
