All students are supported and counseled throughout their time at Alabama Connections Academy so that every student finds success after graduation.
Preparing Online School Students for Graduation
Connections Academy provides in-depth support to ensure that online school students understand their graduation requirements and are well prepared for life beyond high school.
HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Students must successfully earn a minimum of 24 credits to graduate and participate in state tests. Be sure to check your school handbook for updates.
The course credits required to graduate include:
- English: 4 credits
- Math: 4 credits
- Science: 4 credits (2 credits must be from lab-based courses)
- Social studies: 4 credits
- Career Technical/Fine Arts/World Languages: 3 credits
- Career Preparation: 1 credit
- Health/Physical Education: 1.5 credit
- Additional courses: 2.5 credits
