Colleen Gaard is the new principal of Indiana Connections Career Academy. She began her teaching career in 2011 and joined Connections Academy® in 2014 as a high school English teacher.
Preparing Students for the Future
“I’ve been a teacher at heart for as long as I can remember,” reports Ms. Gaard. “From tutoring in high school and college to working in early childhood education to finally landing in the classroom, I love the magic of teaching and learning. What brought me to Connections Academy® schools was the challenge of stretching my teaching practices and really innovating what the classroom and school community can look like.

Ms. Gaard enjoys family time with her husband and three children, watching sports, going to the movies, and seeing musicals. She also loves a good book and a strong cup of coffee.
