Why She Decided to Become a Teacher

According to Ms. Bennett, “I had a sixth-grade teacher who left an impression on me. I still keep in touch with her today. I wanted to affect students the way she did.”

The Online School Program Experience at Virginia Connections Academy

Ms. Bennett’s favorite classroom activity is “just talking with my students and learning more about them individually. I do enjoy playing review games and seeing the competitive side come out in students.

“The staff at Virginia Connections Academy is always here for students and their family. We are always willing to help our students be successful. We will challenge students to be the best they can be.”

How This School Helps Prepare Students for the Future

Ms. Bennett believes that “students who choose to take advantage of getting a diploma and possibly furthering their education through technical schools or universities will have doors opened to them. Education gives students more options in life.”

Ms. Bennett’s Personal Interests

“I love the outdoors. I love to ride motorcycles, read, camp, travel, and hike, just to name a few.”

“I love the interactions I have with my students and seeing the ‘light bulb’ turn on.”
