Why I Became a Teacher
Growing up I was incredibly fortunate to have several amazing teachers who made school so much better. They inspired students to follow their passions and truly instilled in us a belief that we could do anything we set our minds to. I became a teacher in the hope of being that person who makes school a little bit better and inspires students to go after their dreams and work hard.
I absolutely love teaching here. Connecting with students is the best part of being a teacher, and this school allows me to connect with not only my students but their Learning Coaches and other family members as well. During our one-on-one meetings, I get to know my students, their parents, siblings, grandparents, friends — even their pets!
The Online School Experience at Utah Connections Academy
At this school, we place a lot of emphasis on teaching the 4 C’s — creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking. These are skills that are essential for the 21st-century worker. An online education prepares students for a world where most careers will have some aspect of virtual work.

My Hobbies and Interests
I am insanely proud of my family. I have a wonderful wife and two incredible little boys. I love sports. My favorite teams are the Utah Jazz and the Green Bay Packers. My other passion is music. I love listening to it, strumming the guitar, and singing along in the car.
