Prior to Tennessee Connections Academy, I was a professor of education at Murray State University. Earlier in my career, I also worked as a school administrator and classroom teacher.
In my role as interim school leader at this school, I hope to enhance student achievement through a renewed focus on educating the whole student. Also, by strengthening the student/Learning Coach/teacher relationship and by meeting the unique needs of every student and family.
When not serving the students of Tennessee, I enjoy outdoor cooking, reading, crafting, and spending time with a variety of animals. I live in Montgomery County, Tennessee, with my 15-year-old son and husband of 18 years.
