Stacy Wosel is a high school math teacher at Oklahoma Connections Academy. She started teaching in 2005 and joined the Connections Academy® family in 2015. Ms. Wosel has a bachelor’s degree in math education from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. She shares her teaching journey below:
Why I Became a Teacher
I became a teacher to help others understand math and to learn to not be so afraid of the subject. I love teaching at Oklahoma Connections Academy because I get so much one-on-one time with my students. The benefit of teaching at an online school is that you get to know your students on an individual level when you speak to them.

Oklahoma Connections Academy helps prepare students for a successful future because we provide a rigorous education that gets students ready for the next step in their education. Students are using today’s technology daily to prepare for the years to come. They leave our program with general computer skills and already comfortable with many software programs.
Our community has dedicated teachers, administrators, and support to assist students who need a different setting for their education. This school is a great opportunity for students who are self-driven and have support at home to encourage them to reach out to teachers. Our staff is amazing and always willing to help any student who calls.
