Why I Became a Teacher

Growing up, I succeeded in school because I was lucky enough to have many wonderful teachers who provided me with positive learning experiences. I wanted to become a teacher to share my love of learning and encourage students to become their best selves.

The Online School Experience at Oklahoma Connections Academy

A huge benefit of online school is the individualized attention we provide to students who are struggling. I’m better able to meet their individual learning needs through one-on-one LiveLesson® sessions as a supplement small group instruction in the resource setting. Students will learn time management and organizational skills, and they’ll also be challenged to think critically and be active problem-solvers.

Our school community is special because we’re focused on supporting each other. No one is on their own to figure things out. I value being part of a team of teachers, administrators, and parents who are dedicated to student success.

Message for Families Considering Online School

If you’re looking for an alternative to traditional school that will allow for greater flexibility and more personalized instruction, choose Oklahoma Connections Academy.

I wanted to become a teacher to share my love of learning and encourage students to become their best selves.

My Interests

I like to spend time outdoors. Our family enjoys hiking, fishing, and camping, so summer is our favorite time of year. We live on a small farm with our chickens, pigs, and goats. It’s a lot of work, but it’s also a lot of fun.
