Technology and Password Support Services

Oklahoma Connections Academy’s technology support staff members have an expansive knowledge of computer technology and Pearson Online Classroom (formerly known as Connexus®). They will help you to troubleshoot any problems you are having with Pearson Online Classroom using remote diagnostic tools that allow them to “see” a student's computer and correct problems from afar.

We provide extensive technical support for students and parents via toll-free phone service and email. Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. CT.

Connections Academy provides numerous online resources for parents, students, and staff. The extensive Online Help system is searchable and easy to use. It contains a wide array of how-to topics about:

Resetting Your Pearson Online Classroom Password

If you can’t remember your password or would like to change it, you may conveniently reset your password below.

Reset Your Password

Step 1: Verify your user account.

You will need to have your username and the email address that is associated with your account. If you have forgotten your username or email, please call a support representative for assistance at 1-800-382-6010 or email us at support@connexus.com.

Step 2: An email will be sent.

Once you have submitted your user verification, further instructions will be sent to the email address that is associated with your account. If you are unable to find this email in your inbox or junk mail folder, please contact the support representative for assistance.

Step 3: Create a new password.

To confirm your request for a new password, you must click on the link that is provided in the email. You will be asked to create a new password, which must meet the following criteria:

be at least 8 characters in length;
contain at least 1 lowercase and 1 uppercase letter;
contain at least 1 number (0–9); and
contain at least 1 special character (!, @, #, $, %, ^, &, *)

Submit the new password to complete the request! You will be redirected to the Pearson Online Classroom login page, where you can now log in and access your user account.

Resetting Your Pearson-Issued Computer Password

Connectivity Requirements

Students/Learning Coaches can log into Pearson Online Classroom from various devices, such as a mobile phone, tablet, or desktop computer. We regularly test a wide range of devices to ensure the accessibility and functionality of the education management system.

Hardware and Software

We recommend that students/Learning Coaches update software and Internet browsers regularly on each device. For the best experience, try the following connectivity recommendations for accessing Pearson Online Classroom:

Desktop and Laptop Computers—for the most user-friendly experience
Operating System
- Windows 8.1 or later
- macOS 10.13 or later
Browsers—the latest versions of the following:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Microsoft Edge (Windows 10 only)
- Safari (Mac only)
Plugins—the latest versions of the following:
Software
- Microsoft Office 2007 or newer
- Alternative: LibreOffice—a free productivity suite compatible with Microsoft Office file formats

Mobile Devices and Third-Party Curriculum

Although we regularly test our education management system, many mobile devices may not be fully compatible with third-party curriculum platforms that are accessed through Pearson Online Classroom. These include: iPad, iPhone, iPod, Kindle, and Android phones & tablets.

Connectivity

Broadband connection is required.
Use the chart on the FCC Household Broadband Guide to assist in selecting the appropriate speed
- For one student, a minimum download speed of 8Mbps should be requested from your ISP.
- For two or more students, a minimum download speed of 25Mbps should be requested from your ISP.
NOTE: As you add more users/devices (e.g., computers, gaming consoles, streaming devices, etc.) the need for bandwidth increases. Therefore, if you use multiple devices, you should request a minimum download speed of 25Mbps.
NOTE: If you have a satellite connection, you may experience performance issues depending on outside weather conditions and latency.

Speeds less than those noted above may result in a less than optimum user experience
For LiveLesson sessions and other Pearson Online Classroom content, the following ports need to be open:
- TCP and UDP ports 80, 443, and 1935
- Click here to test port 80.
- Click here to test port 443.
- Click here to test port 1935.
- If any of them fail, please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to discuss options for opening the ports.
Data usage
- The amount of data transferred over your Internet connection each month depends on what your student’s courses and online activities are each day. We are not able to provide this information because each session in Pearson Online Classroom is unique and varied. Please contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to discuss the best option for your needs.

Additional Technology Support Videos

Note: The use of Chromebooks will require additional technology steps in order for your student to successfully submit their work. Chromebooks do not possess a hard drive allowing students to save their work to the device and submit their files to their teacher.
