College Credit
Ohio’s College Credit Plus Program
We offer talented students in grades 7–12 the opportunity to explore college courses while they’re enrolled at Great River Connections Academy through Ohio’s new College Credit Plus program. College Credit Plus replaces Ohio’s Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program and allows students to take courses at a local college of their choice.
Students may take College Credit Plus courses from a public college for free, which includes tuition, books, and other fees. If students choose courses from a private college, they may have small costs. Students should work with their school counselor to choose the College Credit Plus courses that best suit their future academic and career goals. Here’s what you need to know to get started:
- To qualify, students in grades 7–12 must apply for College Credit Plus program admission at any public or participating private college. Students will be admitted based on their college-readiness level in certain subject areas and may need to take a placement test.
- Visit the Ohio Department of Higher Education’s College Credit Plus online resource for students and families to understand next steps.
