I like sharing my passion for science and technology with younger students, especially my excitement for robots. I arranged for a robotics demonstration to introduce students to the FIRST program that inspired me. A seventh-grade student I met that day discovered her own interest in science and technology and has become a key member of the robotics team.
I like volunteering, and mentor three other robotics teams in the area made up of students who might not otherwise have the opportunity. Two of those teams consist of Rwandan refugees. The third team has students with learning disabilities.
Going to college is the best way to pursue my passion and dreams. I’m not sure where I’ll wind up, but so far, I’ve been accepted to several schools — including Ohio State University, Purdue University, Miami University, the University of Dayton, and Xavier University. In addition, I’ve already earned a fair amount in scholarship offers. When I decided I wanted to go to college, my family had no idea where to turn or what to do. Ohio Connections Academy has been the answer.
