We offer talented students in grades 7–12 the opportunity to explore college courses while they’re enrolled at Ohio Connections Academy through Ohio’s College Credit Plus (CCP) program. College Credit Plus allows students to take courses at a local college of their choice.
Students may take College Credit Plus courses from a public college for free, which includes tuition, books, and other fees. To see typical course sequences for 15 and 30-hour pathways, view our graduation pathways. Students can also choose specialized pathways such as the Bio-Engineering 15 and 30-hour pathways available at the University of Toledo. If students choose courses from a private college, they may have small costs. Students should work with their school counselor to choose the College Credit Plus courses that best suit their future academic and career goals. Here’s what you need to know to get started:
- To qualify, students in grades 7–12 must first submit an Intent to Participate form by April 1. Then, apply for College Credit Plus program admission at any public or participating private college. Students will be admitted based on their college-readiness level in certain subject areas and may need to take a placement test.
- As part of the CCP application process, families will need to complete the Authorization to Release Educational Records form in order for the school to submit the student's transcript to the college.
