Kyle Luft began his career at Michigan Connections Academy in 2011 teaching second grade. He is currently a School Leader. According to Mr. Luft, his favorite part of the job is “working with students in all areas of the great state of Michigan! Having students from all areas of the state is a great way to interact and learn from each other.”
His Favorite Moments
“I love the ‘a-ha' moments students have when they are able to make real connections to the material they are learning with the environment around them,” says Mr. Luft. “Michigan Connections Academy is a great place where educators collaborate with each other to facilitate those connections on a regular basis.”
The Online School Experience at Michigan Connections Academy
According to Mr. Luft, “Online school, just like any school choice setting, allows students an opportunity to try a different environment. Virtual schools allow students and families some controlled flexibility in learning the grade-level material in a personalized way.
“We have a true partnership with students and their families and collaborate with each other on a regular basis to support the individual learning needs of each student.”

Preparing Students for a Bright Future
“With the increasing number of virtual course offerings available to college students or trade organizations, virtual school students must create a schedule that works for them, be self-disciplined, and take an active role in their learning. Our school environment gives students the necessary skills to be successful in a learning environment that requires time management skills.”
