2026-27 Enrollment Information
- Grades K-12 close first semester enrollment for the 2026-27 school year on 09/17/2026 at 11:59 ET.
- The last day to create an application: 9/15/2026.
- The last day to complete Get Ready for School: 09/17/2026 at 11:59 pm ET.
- To ensure enough time for document processing, all documents should be submitted at least 10 business days prior to the last day to complete Get Ready for School.
- Students in grades K-10 not completed by 9/17/2026 will have the opportunity to enroll for second semester.
Waitlist Information
- Michigan Connections Academy has a limit for student enrollment and the capacity has been met in grades 1, 4, 8-9 and 11-12. Students in grades 1, 4, 8-9 and 11-12 will be placed on a waiting list and released to enroll based on completion of enrollment tasks.
- Space is still available in grades K, 2-3, 5-7 and 10.
- The new student open application period was from February 3rd through February 18th.
- After accounting for returning students, grades 11 and 12 were oversubscribed at the end of the application period. New students requesting these grades were selected for enrollment through a random lottery drawing held on February 27th at 12PM EST.

Get ready to enroll in online school at Michigan Connections Academy, serving grades K–12. Typically, the enrollment process takes just a few weeks to complete. But spots fill up quickly, so make sure you start as soon as you can. Here's how to get started:
Check Eligibility
You must meet specific state and program eligibility requirements to attend Michigan Connections Academy. Student eligibility requirements in Michigan are determined by the Michigan Legislature and the Michigan Board of Education. Michigan Connections Academy is authorized by the Ferris State University Charter Schools Office. Before enrolling, review the following eligibility requirements carefully to determine whether your student(s) is eligible to participate in grades K–12. Once your enrollment is confirmed, please immediately withdraw your student from their previous publicly-funded school. Students cannot be simultaneously enrolled in two public schools.
Note: Michigan Connections Academy does not accept students who are currently expelled from their local school or district. Students who have ever been expelled from their local school or district may not be eligible to enroll.
