Online students from across the state tossed their caps as Michigan Connections Academy celebrated the Class of 2025 on Wednesday, June 11, at Michigan State University’s Wharton Center. The ceremony recognized 118 graduates who have achieved their high school diplomas through a flexible, tuition-free, online-school format. Family, friends, teachers, and staff gathered to celebrate the students’ hard work and bright future.

What’s Next for Michigan Connections Academy High School Graduates?
Among Michigan Connections Academy's 118 graduates, 47 percent plan to attend a 2- or 4-year college or university, 25 percent plan to enter the workforce, and others plan to take a gap year or pursue other opportunities.

Michigan Connections Academy is a tuition-free, online public school for K–12 students. Authorized by Ferris State University Charter Schools Office and supported by Pearson Virtual Schools, Michigan Connections Academy has been serving students since 2010 and offers a high-quality educational experience that keeps students motivated and engaged in a safe, virtual learning environment. In addition to academics, teachers focus on building fundamental life skills, working closely with families to help students learn how they learn best. The new school year at Michigan Connections Academy will feature an expansion to its College & Early Career Readiness offering. The school integrates traditional academic subjects with industry-leading, career-focused options like IT, business, health sciences, and marketing. This program equips students with valuable skills such as leadership, critical thinking, and teamwork.
