Michigan Online First Grade Curriculum

Michigan Connections Academy’s online first grade curriculum is designed to enhance the fundamental skills students developed in kindergarten. The courses in our first grade curriculum allow students to grow and develop in a flexible learning environment serving as a great alternative to a traditional public classroom or homeschool setting. In first grade virtual school, students will build on their existing repertoire of knowledge. Students will:

  • Enhance their literacy skills by focusing on reading fluency
  • Learn basic arithmetic such as addition and subtraction facts
  • Expand their knowledge of and experiment with different colors, shapes, and lines
  • Learn to appreciate and explore the natural world around them.

Our virtual school also offers several elective courses designed to enrich student learning.

If you would like to know more about the educational process in our online first grade virtual school, take a look at some of our first grade online sample lessons. Feel free to also click and browse through the list of online first grade core and elective courses below to learn more.

Some textbooks are available in online format only.
