Why I Became a Teacher
This quote has been my guiding light through my life, and it is the reason I became a teacher:

The Online School Experience at Maine Connections Academy
The environment at Maine Connections Academy is different. While I built relationships at the brick-and-mortar schools, they tended to be more superficial compared to the level of communication here.
The coursework is rigorous, but your own work habits will be challenged as well. Students in English and Language Arts will learn to think critically, to be persuasive, to write and communication well to prove their points and express themselves poignantly: all skills that will help serve them in the "real world."
My Interests
I continue to write, having published poetry, short stories, and an award-winning historical essay. Music, singing, history, hiking, and hockey are also hobbies that I enjoy.
