Why She Became an Educator
“My journey in education actually started back in 2006, when I was a school secretary with Atlanta Public Schools,” says Ms. Huff. “That experience opened my eyes to the power of connection and sparked my passion for advocating for students. I loved being part of their stories and seeing how meaningful relationships could shape their success.
“That’s what led me to become a school counselor and, eventually, an educational leader. At my core, I believe every student deserves to be seen, supported, and given every opportunity to thrive.”
The Online Experience at Georgia Connections Academy
“Even though our classrooms look a little different, the relationships we build are just as strong—and often even more intentional. Here, students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning while knowing they’re surrounded by caring teachers, counselors, and staff who want to see them succeed.
“Our educators collaborate closely with families to personalize instruction, provide meaningful feedback, and celebrate every milestone along the way. It’s a community built on purpose, empathy, and a shared commitment to helping every student reach their full potential.”
“The online school experience at Georgia Connections Academy is all about connection, flexibility, and support.”

What Families Considering This School Should Keep in Mind
“At Georgia Connections Academy, we truly believe connection is at the heart of learning. Our teachers and staff work hand in hand with families to make sure each student feels supported—academically, socially, and emotionally.
“We take pride in creating a space where students can grow at their own pace while still being part of a strong, caring community. Together, we help students discover their strengths and prepare for a bright future.”
