Why She Became an Educator

Ever since I can remember, I have “played school.” At my grandmother’s house, I would look at her old books and pretend they were novels I was teaching. At my house, I made my bedroom door into bulletin boards.

I have always loved the creativity and connectedness of education. I wanted a career where I could be around people, grow as a person and professional, and never be bored. Education is the perfect fit for me!

The Online School Experience at Georgia Connections Academy

Not every child learns the same way. Georgia Connections Academy offers a unique experience that can help children gain confidence in themselves while learning skills in a nurturing environment.

Another amazing aspect of Georgia Connections Academy is that it operates as its own school district. Every decision is intentionally crafted with our students in mind, and the results show that enrollment and test scores are both on the rise.

One of these decisions is offering in-person events such as orientations, field trips, and district-wide events. We know that while some students learn best at home, they can also benefit from interactions outside their homes.
