Carson

High School

Carson is a senior at our school who, according to one of his teachers, “is hard working and an inspiration. . . . He makes friends whenever given the chance.” Carson, you make us proud!

According to Carson: “I have really enjoyed my two years at [Georgia Connections Academy] because it has allowed me to take part in so many of the activities I enjoy. I play piano well and play at different venues and continue my piano studies. I enjoy my book club and the coed cheer team I participate in.

“I have enjoyed so many of my teachers and courses . . . especially art history, literature, U.S. history, and even economics. I enjoy learning to sail and attending live concerts, no matter what the music genre. The excitement of hearing live music makes me more creative when I write my own music. [After graduating,] I will be attending my favorite summer camp with my peers, then going into a vocational program.”

By the way, Carson has autism. “But I don’t think it hinders me,” he says. “It just takes a little extra time to soak in the information, but I can certainly conquer everything.”

“[Georgia Connections Academy] has certainly made me successful in completing my high school education.”
