Florida Sixth Grade Curriculum

The middle school experience at Florida Connections Academy (FCA) kicks off in the sixth grade with a variety of challenging and engaging classes. Entering a new stage of discovery and growth, sixth graders get to explore literary themes and ethical questions, learn more about literary genres, develop statistical thinking, practice writing equations and expressions, and discover the many ways science plays a part in their everyday lives. Students also have the opportunity to learn more about ancient civilizations and American art, among other topics.

To view the curriculum for our virtual sixth grade classes at FCA, select Core Courses and Elective Courses. You can also view sample lessons to get a better idea of how our sixth grade classes work.

Some textbooks are available in online format only.
