Why I Became a Teacher

I’m a fourth-generation teacher, so education has always been a big part of my family. My mom was a dedicated teacher, and I grew up helping her in the classroom, which fostered my desire to become a teacher as well.

The Online School Experience at Oklahoma Connections Academy

Oklahoma Connections Academy has dedicated teachers and staff who go above and beyond to support students. Our program helps students develop time-management skills, while allowing them to pursue other interests, such as jobs, sports, or hobbies.

I get to know my students better because I can interact with them more often and get to know their strengths and needs. I also have better communication with parents, which helps support the students.

Our school community is special because we have such wonderful, supportive staff, in addition to dedicated students and families who work hard to be successful.

Message for Families Considering Online School

Our program and teachers are some of the best ones I’ve worked with in my teaching career. We have a rigorous, supportive school that fosters successful learning for every student—no matter their strengths or needs.

Hobbies and Interests

I enjoy reading, painting, cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with my family.
