Jennifer Kiefer is a Reading Intervention Teacher for grades K-2 at Colorado Connections Academy. She began teaching in 2013 and joined Connections Academy in 2020. Ms. Kiefer is passionate about helping young learners build strong reading skills and experience the excitement of learning.
Why I Became a Teacher
I became a teacher because I love working with children and helping them experience those exciting “aha!” moments when something finally clicks. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching at Colorado Connections Academy is building meaningful relationships with my students and watching them grow both academically and personally. I feel that we are really able to get to know families and learn more about them in this setting.

Engaging Students Online
I especially enjoy teaching LiveLesson® sessions because they give me the opportunity to interact with students, connect with them in real time, and make learning engaging and fun. I am teaching reading intervention for K-2 and enjoy seeing the kids on screen and being able to be silly with them while making the learning fun.
I believe education provides the foundation for a successful future, and reading is an especially important part of that foundation. Helping students develop strong reading skills gives them the confidence and tools they need to succeed in school and beyond.

Connections Academy can fit into your family's lifestyle while still providing students with meaningful learning experiences, supportive relationships, and opportunities to grow. We provide field trips year-round and many opportunities for students and families to meet with teachers in person or virtually as well!
Some Personal Interests
Ms. Kiefer lives in Northern Colorado, but she grew up in a small town in the mountains, so she has always had a love for the outdoors and small-town life. She is also a mom to two wonderful daughters. Outside of teaching, Ms. Kiefer enjoys hiking, camping, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She loves creating memories with the people she cares about and exploring new places together.
