Arianna Kurtz is a graduate of Arizona Connections Academy. Arianna enjoyed Arizona Connections Academy’s well-rounded and interactive learning environment. She shares her story below:
'I first heard of Connections Academy when my mom was looking for an online curriculum and happened to see an ad for Connections Academy. She found it interesting because it offered online books, computer technology, and mobility—and it was accredited. So, my parents decided to check it out and attended an in-person orientation to learn more about the school.
I was really interested in switching to an online school because I knew it would help me excel, plus it was a new vibe! Since technology is getting more advanced, I thought that Connections Academy’s online learning program would help to give me an edge with regard to computer knowledge. Plus, change is always good!

My parents and I ultimately chose Connections Academy because we liked everything it has to offer including the curriculum and field trips. We especially liked the fact that it is global and mobile because my parents travel quite a bit.

The things I liked most about Arizona Connections Academy were the LiveLesson® sessions—particularly the breakout rooms. In the breakout rooms, you can interact with fellow students and brainstorm topics. I also liked many of my school subjects, but my favorites were math and science, writing, and world history. At Arizona Connections Academy, I participated in volunteer work as a member of Connections Cares. Additionally, I was in the National Honor Society.
A few of my aspirations are to become a pediatrician, psychologist, and prosecuting attorney. Maybe I’ll even become a rock star!.
In her free time, Arianna enjoys playing piano and guitar, going to church, hanging out with friends, singing, hiking, listening to music, and spending quality time with her family. She also plays classical piano and loves to travel and take photographs of her adventures.
Arianna graduated from Arizona Connections Academy in 2015 as the president of the National Honor Society, and is currently attending Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University.
