Ms. Niederhiser is the 504 coordinator/EL services lead teacher at Great River Connections Academy. She has been teaching since 2011 and joined Great River Connections Academy in 2019. Mrs. Niederhiser shares more below.
Why I Became an Educator
I knew from an early age that I wanted to help others. Teaching seemed like something I was naturally good at, so I just had to decide what grade level. I felt like I could support young adolescents the most so that is why I chose middle school. I also knew that I wanted a family someday and teaching offered a more flexible schedule in the summers for me to have more time with family.
The Benefits of K-12 Online Learning
I love teaching at Great River Connections Academy because it feels like a family. The benefit of teaching at an online school is that I feel I can connect one on one with more student needs than I could in a brick-and-mortar setting.
"I love teaching at Great River Connections Academy because it feels like a family."
