Ms. Chin holds a bachelor’s degree in integrated social studies education from Ohio Dominican University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in social sciences at Ohio University.

“I became a teacher because of the immense impact that my high school teachers had on me. They were true role models, and I wanted the opportunity to be that for my students as well. My favorite part about teaching at Great River Connections Academy is the one-on-one time I get with my students either during phone calls or during LiveLesson® sessions. I get to know my students, what their interests are, what they are involved in, and what brought them to online school. Most importantly, we build that relationship so students feel open about sharing their lives with me and so they can feel comfortable in this learning environment. I constantly get to individualize instruction for my students, which I love!
