Why I Became an Educator
I decided to become a teacher because I had some excellent teachers and wanted to pay it forward! I enjoy working at Great River Connections Academy verses a brick-and-mortar school because we have an amazing chance to make a difference one on one here. Plus, the commute is WAY shorter.
The Benefits of K-12 Online Learning
The personal interaction between staff and students cannot be matched! I love to foster student engagement by encouraging discussion and allowing for it in class. The students also have a bigger responsibility for their own learning. This is much more in tune with the world after school ends.
My Interests
My wife and I are serious church people. Plus, kayaking is good!
