Our Ohio Virtual School Field Trips
Bringing Lessons and Friendships to Life
Great River Connections Academy (GRCA) virtual school offers field trips throughout the year that are both educational and fun. From the Underground Railroad to hallowed Indian burial mounds to world-class science, art, and history museums, Ohio’s diverse cultural resources are part of the curriculum at GRCA.
Parents also connect using a secured social media platform to arrange meet-ups at great venues such as museums, historic sites, botanical gardens, and state parks. There are even non-school-related outings like picnics, roller skating, and more!
School field trips are excellent opportunities to meet other parents, students, and teachers face-to-face, but they also provide an opportunity to round out the online school experience in real-world ways. Through educational field trips, students learn life lessons that build upon their course lessons while also making meaningful connections with their peers.
Exploring College and Beyond
GRCA offers field trips to colleges and universities, college fairs, and even businesses for virtual middle and high school students so they may explore and prepare for the future. The optional Career Club allows students to learn about potential careers and explore fields that interest them, while the College Planning Club guides high school students through the college preparation and admissions process.
