High School Counselor

Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, University of Montana; Master of Arts in Counselor Education, University of Montana

Sarah McIntosh began her career as a school counselor in 2007 and joined Inspire Connections Academy in 2021, where she works with high school students. She says that the most rewarding part of her job is “connecting with students and families and supporting them in achieving their goals.”

Why She Became an Educator

“As a child, I knew I wanted to do something in life to help others,” says Ms. McIntosh. “As a high school student, my own school counselor was passionate and supportive of all students and helped me navigate my own high school career, helping foster my love of helping others. While attending college, I taught preschool and continued to develop a passion for supporting students in education while enjoying Montana and the great outdoors.”

“Our staff works hard to connect with students and families on an individual basis to help support the success of every student.”

The Online School Experience at Inspire Connections Academy

According to Ms. McIntosh, “My favorite classroom activity is meeting students in on-camera LiveLesson® sessions and connecting with them on an individual level. I also love face-to-face events where I get to see families and put names to faces and interact in person.

“Inspire Connections Academy helps prepare students for a bright and successful future by supporting them in their academic endeavors through character building, expanding their minds, and preparing them for life outside of school.”

If there’s one thing Ms. McIntosh would tell a family thinking about enrolling a child in our school, it would it be this: “Help your child create and manage a schedule by setting a daily routine and allowing them a distraction-free environment to be successful in their online learning adventure.”

Personal Interests and Hobbies

“When I’m not working,” says Ms. McIntosh, “I spend most of my time with my daughter. We enjoy baking, gardening, hiking, reading, shopping, music, fly fishing, and eating ice cream! I also enjoy traveling to see loved ones in Arizona, Montana, North Dakota, and Wyoming.”
