Amber Roy
Amber Roy is the mother of three elementary school students attending Inspire, the Idaho Connections Academy. After choosing to homeschool her children for two years, Amber and her husband started to research the many virtual school options available to parents and discovered Inspire’s virtual school program. Amber shares her story below:
"Since we have enrolled with Inspire, our experience has been so positive and enriching for everyone in the family. My husband and I strongly believe that our children’s futures require a strong educational foundation upon which they can build happy, fulfilling, and successful well-rounded lives. Inspire’s high-quality educational program has given my children a great start.
Our children are a part of the gifted and talented program, which they really enjoy. Inspire’s scheduling flexibility allows my children to learn at their own pace but still provides the challenging, structured curriculum they need. My son Logan says the best thing about Inspire is that school gets to be done online and at home. He likes to learn at his own pace, and if he has a question, his Learning Coach is right there to help. He also enjoys the many field trips where he gets to see classmates and his teacher. He also really likes his math classes!

My son Connor likes all the online videos, especially the BrainPop series, and being able to stay home. His favorite subjects are social studies and art.
My daughter Caitlyn likes that she can work on lessons at home. She also likes that she can take her time and not feel rushed or have to worry about homework at night. She likes the field trips, where she can see friends. The best part is that she gets to learn with her family and from her very nice teachers online.
We really love how Inspire requires active involvement and accountability between the teacher, the Learning Coach, and the student. The teachers are actively involved with each student, and I feel they truly care about their academic success. Anytime we need help or have concerns, we get a response that same day by phone or email. We also like how Inspire is tuition-free and provides both physical materials and online resources. As a family we have enjoyed our experience and plan on continuing with Inspire for years to come!”
